Legacy App Modernization
Modernize the software your business still runs on
OmniLabs refactors, re-architects, and migrates legacy applications to modern, cloud-ready platforms, keeping the business logic your teams rely on while removing what slows them down.
Discuss application modernizationWhen legacy software starts holding the business back
- 01
A business-critical application runs on an aging framework or on-premises servers, and every change feels risky.
- 02
Only a few people understand the code, and years of patches have made it slow, fragile, and expensive to maintain.
- 03
The application can’t connect cleanly to your CRM, ERP, cloud services, or AI tools, so data stays locked inside it.
- 04
Users rely on outdated screens and manual workarounds because the interface no longer matches how they work.
Refactoring, re-architecture, and cloud migration
Not every legacy app needs a rewrite. We assess what to keep, improve, or replace, then modernize in phases so the business keeps running throughout.
- Assessment of code, architecture, data, dependencies, and technical debt
- A phased modernization roadmap: rehost, replatform, refactor, or rebuild
- Code refactoring that removes technical debt without changing what users rely on
- Breaking monoliths into modular services that can be updated and scaled independently
- Migration from on-premises servers to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with verified data integrity
- Modern APIs that connect the application to your CRM, ERP, cloud services, and AI tools
- Redesigned interfaces for internal teams and customers
- Automated testing and deployment pipelines so future changes ship safely

What modernization gives your business
Lower maintenance and infrastructure costs, with cloud resources that scale to actual demand.
Faster, safer releases, so new features and integrations no longer wait on a fragile codebase.
A secure, well-documented foundation ready for new channels, automation, and AI.
From legacy assessment to a modern platform
Assess the application
Review the code, architecture, data, integrations, and users to find what still works and what is creating risk or cost.
Plan the modernization path
Choose the right strategy for each part of the system and sequence the work into phases that protect daily operations.
Modernize in phases
Refactor, re-architect, and migrate component by component, running old and new side by side where needed.
Validate and optimize
Verify critical workflows and data, monitor performance after release, and hand over documentation your team can maintain.
Questions about legacy modernization
Do we have to rebuild the application from scratch?
Usually not. Many applications can be rehosted, replatformed, or refactored in parts. We recommend a full rebuild only when the assessment shows it costs less over time than improving what exists.
Can you modernize without disrupting our users?
Yes. We work in phases, keep critical workflows running, and use parallel runs, feature flags, and regression testing so users move to the new system without losing access to what they need.
Can you move our application from on-premises servers to the cloud?
Yes. We plan and execute migrations to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including data migration with integrity checks, environment setup, and performance monitoring after the move.
What if nobody fully understands the old code anymore?
That is common. We reverse-engineer the existing behavior, document the business rules hidden in the code, and add tests around them before changing anything.
Will a modernized application be able to use AI?
Modernization creates the clean APIs, data access, and architecture that AI features need. We can add AI capabilities during the project or prepare the platform for them later.
